  It's been awhile
Whoa after a ton of great stuff in Montreal and a little jaunt to Chi town to hit up Pitchfork it seems like time for a post. I just started doing this and its hard to keep up with me.

The Diplo/CSS/Bonde Do Role show in MTL was a crazy sweaty fest. Never have so many peeps been packed into Sala dancin their asses off- that place must have been at like double capacity and with no AC. I was stoked to see CSS as I am so into their hit Let's Make Love and Listen to Death from Above but I must say that although I liked them I felt a little disapointed in their live show - correction they totally won me back at Pitchfork they were so tight and hilariously sassy. Check out this XXXchange mix of Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above:

The following week there was something almost everynight in MTL - well really when isn't there.
Peaches with her new band, the crazy after party that Lynne T DJ'd at the new Coconutz night, MSTRKRFT, Sunset Rubdown (which I unfortunately missed but I caught up with those kids in Chi town so it's all good), Flacky Disco, Shay's Peer Pressure Birthday Jam.
Despite a small crowd and a kind of weird venue ( but I must say at least the Saints has awesome AC and is big you could pack'em in there when u wanna) MSTRKRFT brought on their fun heavy electro-indie rock-whaaat remixes that are gettin them so much hype and I kinda dug it.
AND did the Peer Pressure kids live up to their word and threw it down right for Shay's B-day - table dancin ensued, high 5's to the best party crew in MTL.
Let's just say Sunday was spent on my couch with good reason.

Then next week it was off to Chi-town - my first time there and you gotta love it. So many awesome peeps, some of the best thrifting I have ever seen (and I've done a lot) and the architecture if you are into that shit- wowzer. I also got to really bro down with my pals from Bmore and make some new friends too = soooooo dope.
I'm not actually gonna say to much about Pitchfork but definite highlights: Kid Sister and Flosstradamus - those kids got mad skillz and a high school dance team. I did not regret dragging my hungover ass outta bed for their daytime slot and they ruled the after party with A-trak at Sonotheque. Several peeps wanted me to check them out and they definitely have to be brought up to Montreal on the ASAP. And despite mixer and other issues Spank Rock brought it on with a riotous stage dance party (that caused the festival to put up barricades the next day how dumb). Other thing that were good: CSS, Diplo, A-Trak, Mountain Goats, (missed Bonde Do Role but I am sure they were fun until the falling incident), Aesop Rock, Mission of Burma.
