New TTC - Telephone
Sorry on about the delays on this post- had some computer issues but it all good now.
Tidbits of this have been floating all over, check the preview I grabbed from Fluokids hosted by my beyond fabulous girl Violette Vilaine. Also check the new track Telephone and an old fav Girlfriend(click track to give a listen):
Aaron Lacrate TONIGHT @ the new Peer Pressure monthly: SHOWTIME
Be sure to catch Aaron LaCrate (Bmore Gutter Music!) with Peer Pressure residents A-Rock and Hatchmatik tonight at the SAT. If you are going to Kevin Blechdom and DAT Politics at the Zoobizz first come get your dance on afterwards. Here's some of what you don't want to be missing:
One of the best bands to come out of Montreal in the last few years, Duchess Says, are touring North America right now (with another excellent Montreal band actually that I am sure you already know and love Les Georges Lenningrad). As dope as these tracks are just wait to you see them live. Click here to check when they are coming at ya Duchess Says Tour Dates
I hadn't heard In Flagranti before (brain child of Codek Record founders Alex Gloor and Sasha Crnobnja) and caught a track recently on fiftyone:fiftyone blog that led me to search them out. I still think that Reputation or Noteriety is the sweetest (I know I know ignore the lyrics if you must but its an infectious dancey track) but here also are two more from what I found:
If you live in Montreal you are already prob super hyped on these guys and you shed a few tears if you missed thier debut at one of the last PeerPressure Vinyl Saturdays. And Isis will kick your ass no joke. Add them on Myspace hahaha THUNDERHEIST. Click a track to give a listen:
Great redo of a personal favorite of mine, Moskow Diskow, by DJs Are Not Rockstars (Princess Superstar rockin the vox and Alexander Technique). Got the original here too for yous that need it:
But seriously I downloaded this on Fluokids back in September and somehow only gave it a listen now. His new album "The American Dream" is now scheduled to drop in february 2007 and this should be the first single. Here's an old one too:
Let's Try This Again
I started this awhile back and really wanted to keep it up but didn't. Anyways here's another try some music and some Montreal happenings comming at you.
There is a bunch of sweet stuff happening this Saturday:
Also the shows Friday and Saturday at Zoobizzare should be worth checking out. Kids On Tv put on a crazy show and mad dancing always ensues.
